The housing sector, and specifically the construction industry, has seen constant evolution year after year. Constant improvements and updates mean that professionals must keep up to date.
Today we’re talking about one of the most important professions within the housing sector: architects. At Ouxion, we want to offer all these architecture professionals the chance to stay up to date with this year’s events. That’s why we’re bringing you the must-attend trade fairs and conventions in the sector.
Must-attend events for architects in Spain in 2026
1. CEVISAMA (Valencia)
Date: 28 September to 1 October
Venue: Feria Valencia
After more than 40 years of history, Cevisama surprised everyone by announcing that 2025 would be its final edition as an independent event. However, it will not disappear, as it is being integrated into the Feria Hábitat and retains the name by which it is recognised nationally and across Europe: Cevisama.
Despite the change in dates—it used to be held at the start of the year—and in format and direction, the essence remains the same, and it retains its aura of importance within the world of the ceramic sector, complete bathroom fittings, and the treatment and use of natural stone in renovation and construction.
2. REBUILD (Madrid)
Date: 24–26 March
Venue: IFEMA Madrid
REBUILD has, in its own right, become a leading trade fair within the innovation sector. It focuses on sustainability, digitalisation, construction and industrialisation. It is always held in conjunction with the Advanced Architecture and Construction 4.0 Congress.
This year, under the slogan “Powering, the future of building”, there will be exhibitions showcasing sustainable materials, as well as industrialised solutions, the Advanced Architecture Awards gala and a forum where leading figures in the sector will share their experiences, improvements and ideas.
3. Barcelona Building Construmat (Barcelona)
Date: 18–20 May
Venue: Fira Barcelona on Gran Vía
After more than forty editions, Construmat is the meeting point for ideas and solutions within the construction sector. Barcelona becomes the epicentre of the sector, attracting everyone’s attention.
Architects, engineers and executives gather in Barcelona to tackle the major challenges facing the construction industry, always from a positive perspective, with innovation, sustainability and cross-disciplinary approaches at the forefront.
4. Madrid Design Festival (Madrid)
Dates: 6 February to 8 March
Venue: Various venues across Madrid
More than just a convention, the Madrid Design Festival is best understood as a true celebration of design. Here, design is the key that unlocks everything, the cornerstone of the construction sector’s transformation.
With this year’s slogan, “Redesigning the world”, MDF26, as it is known, sets itself the task of ensuring the positive impact of its evolution and revolution within the sector, whilst remaining aware of and responsible for its significant impact. Design as expression, as solution.
This fair boasts one of the most varied programmes in the sector, packed with talks, exhibitions, parties, temporary installations and a wealth of knowledge and ideas to share.
5. ARCHITECT@WORK Madrid
Estimated date: 6 and 7 May
Venue: IFEMA
Disruptive and exclusive are perhaps two of the adjectives that best capture the essence of this event, which has become a global phenomenon, touring the world’s major cities.
Here, innovation is part of A@W’s DNA; it is a true Mecca for interior designers and engineers who seek innovation as their means of expression. This is truly top-tier.
